To catch the little devils you will need lightning quick reflexes and a little luck considering that alcohol is sometimes a factor. All entries will be supplied with an Official Stingaree Crab Rodeo Accessories and Provisions bag. Each bag will have an "I CAUGHT CRABS AT STINGAREE" t-shirt, chicken necks, twine, map and a net. You will have Fri. through early Sunday morning to catch crabs. Catching crabs by yourself is difficult and not as much fun as doing it with others. You might consider putting together a team.

The goal is to catch the fastest crab on the Bolivar Peninsula and win the coveted Stingaree Shrimper boots. When you think you have caught the fastest crab then bring it to the " crab corral" (a cooler supplied by Donnie Courville) for safe keeping until Sunday when the races will begin (Time TBA).

1. Guide and team leader....leads the team to thesite(s) and makes sure all are safe.
2. Chicken Choker...takes care of the bait and luresthe crab in close
3. Crab Wrangler...does the netting
4. Caretaker....takes care of crabs and beer cooler.
5. Crab Jockey....races the crab

Entry Fee
$15.00 entry fee per person to cover cost of crabbing provisions in the Stingaree CRAP Bag.

Licenses (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!)
All participants are encouraged to purchase a resident or non resident one day plus two additional
days SALTWATER fishing license. This will cover crabbing for April 13-15...

Day Resident cost for three days is $24.00 for one day is $16.00. Non-resident for three days is $38.00 for one day is $22.00

Stingaree doesn't require you to have a license but know that if you get caught without one that the fines are pretty stiff. If you know what day you want to crab, at least buy a one day license. We would hate to see good beer money going to pay for a fine. This license will cover you for fishing too!
